Pump auto cockers have been around since nearly the beginning of paintball. WGP was the first company to release the auto cocker technology. In fact, every auto cocker that has been released has stemmed from their design. The auto cocker was extremely popular back in the later 90′s to early 2000, and continues to be popular in pump form today.
Since paintball was invented, there has been a growing obsession with optimizing the quality of our paintball guns. We want guns that shoot accurately, but we also want guns that can shoot as much ammunition per second as possible. The more paintballs that we can fire the better. The problem with this macho mantra is that it does not take us all that long to run out of paintballs.
